We decided that our next two episodes would be on a joyful theme, only to discover that by pure coincidence, both the songs are hymns which are frequently mistaken for Christmas songs.
In this week's episode, we talk about big fluffy dogs, Romantic era poetry, and pre-WW1 history - although Cara is trying her hardest not to go off down a series of interesting literary and historical rabbit trails. What are you reading in your Bible at the moment? This week we'd like to remind you of the excellent hymn, How Firm A Foundation. This is no stuffy classic, it's a wonderful song that talks about the beautiful gift the Bible is, often lifting lyrics straight from Scripture itself.
In a world that tries to undermine the Word of God, this is the perfect hymn to remind us to trust the word of the God who cannot lie.
